We all experience anxiety over the course of our lives. Work, family stress, life changes, personal loss, hormonal or chemistry changes and other issues can all make us feel anxious from time to time. But if feelings of anxiety are occurring too often, if they are interfering with your ability to function, or if they escalate into panic attacks, the Neuro-Therapy Clinic, Inc. can help. Through treatment, we will help you improve your ability to manage anxiety, regain your confidence and effectively re-engage in your day-to-day life.

Treatment options:

There are a number of treatment options for people suffering from anxiety and/or panic disorders. For example, there are medications that can be used effectively to suppress symptoms of anxiety once they are present; other medications are designed to prevent symptoms from appearing altogether. In some cases, these medications are used in conjunction with one another.

In addition to medications, certain herbs and nutrient supplements may also be of benefit.

Treatment for anxiety may also include Cognitive Behaviorial Therapy (CBT). Using CBT, patients focus on the thoughts and behaviors that trigger the anxiety and learn how to respond to those thoughts and behaviors in a calmer, more measured way. CBT techniques help patients recognize triggers for the feelings as well as how to change the thinking attached to the anxiety. In cases of strong fears and phobias, systematic desensitization of the offending fear or phobia can lessen its impact and remove the anxiety.
