Conducting a structured and thorough assessment is a key step to understanding your needs.  

Before your first appointment, we will ask you to complete a full medical history. During that initial appointment, we will discuss the symptoms causing you to seek care. We will also talk through your medical history so that we can understand previous and current health issues, medication responses, life issues and other factors.

We also provide advanced assessment tools, that help us better understand your individual neurophysiology. These assessments may include:

• Questionnaires for attention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, learning styles and learning modalities, or mood disturbances;
• A continuous performance test, which evaluates attention and impulsivity, as well as whether your brain’s processing of visual and/or auditory information is interfering with functioning;
• A brain activity test, which helps us understand how your brain’s activity may be contributing to your symptoms.
