Like neurofeedback, Referenced-EEG® (rEEG) starts with a Quantitative EEG, or QEEG. A QEEG records a patient’s brainwaves, much like an EKG does for the heart.
The rEEG compares your brain to a clinical database and provides a report with information on what medications past patients with similar EEG patterns used to achieve positive outcomes. Referenced-EEG is painless, and requires no medications or injections. No electricity goes into your brain; you simply sit comfortably while your brainwave patterns are recorded.
Using rEEG, the Neuro-Therapy Clinic, Inc. is able to receive more neurometric information on your brain which may assist a physician in reducing the trial-and-error methods of prescribing medications. The Neuro-Therapy Clinic has extensive training in the use of rEEG and can determine if an rEEG is appropriate.
