Neuro-Therapy Clinic, P.C. (NTC) is a full-service psychiatric practice, which aims to provide a range of services from traditional medication management and psychotherapy through more leading-edge techniques of neurofeedback and Quantitative EEG brain imaging.
High-Tech Is Nothing Without High-Touch!
Technology is only part of the value we offer. We pride ourselves on providing the best c are available to each of our patients. By using advanced technology and highly qualified people who genuinely care, we help our clients identify and treat many frustrating and difficult disorders.
Recent technology, based on published scientific research, has allowed us to “see” into the brain and assess problems that were previously "invisible". We find that many patients are incorrectly diagnosed when symptoms or behaviors are confused with other similar problems. By accurately and objectively evaluating the brain's neurophysiology, we are more precise in our interventions and obtain better results - often without medication.
Leading The Team: Daniel Hoffman, M.D. - Neuropsychiatrist

Dr. Daniel Hoffman,
is a Neuropsychiatrist with over 25 years experience, treats general psychiatric conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder and anxiety. He provides the newest advances in diagnosing and treating attentional and learning problems in children and adults.
In addition, he specializes in neuropsychiatric conditions, using the newest neuro-imaging techniques to determine which medications have the highest probability of response for a particular patient.
Once our patients have undergone a thorough assessment by Dr. Hoffman, they are offered a range of treatment options addressed to their specific needs. We offer the more traditional psychotherapies of individual, group and family treatments, along with play therapy and parent education. Our staff of clinicians has years of experience in these areas. You would expect to see these services in a good psychiatric practice, and we feel we offer the best.
Quantitative Electroencephalogram Technology
The really exciting thing we offer that sets us apart from other practices is the use of Quantitative Electroencephalogram technology to help us learn the unique manner in which each brain functions. By providing the most important, advanced tool developed in psychiatry over the last 50 years, treatment is no longer a guessing game. We are now able to accurately evaluate and understand in an objective fashion both the structure and function of each brain, and thus see how behaviors are affected. This allows us to be more precise in our interventions and to obtain better results.
While the analysis that is done with this new tool is quite complex (over 65,000 calculations are computer performed), for the person being tested the use of this tool is as simple as any could be. There are no special requirements of the patient (other than being medication, alcohol and caffeine free), no challenging mental exercises, no large questionnaires to fill out or anything out of the ordinary. The patient simply needs to sit quietly with their eyes closed without falling asleep, read, or do mental math while the instrument takes its readings. (Refer

Mapping and Re-Training Your Brain
By using advanced technology and highly qualified people, we help identify and treat many frustrating and difficult behavioral disorders. Recent technology, based on published scientific research, has allowed us to “see” into the brain and assess patterns which were previously “invisible”. We find that many patients are incorrectly diagnosed based on the symptoms or behaviors of a similar problem. By accurately and objectively evaluating the brain’s neurophysiology, we are more precise in our interventions and obtain better results – often without medications. On the other hand, when using medications, we can access newer databases that have been developed to determine which brains are likely to respond to which particular medication and in fact, which medication has the greatest probability of success for a particular brain’s “signature”.
We also use some of this same technology to actually change the brain. By comparing brain images with so-called “normal” brains, we can apply this new technology to reshape the brain in a direction that is more serviceable for learning and living. For example, we can train the depressed brain to have a more stable mood. We can help adults and children with attentional problems to be more focused, and we can treat challenging behavioral difficulties. We are not just investing in finding out what is wrong; we use this information to formulate useful tools for living.
High Tech is nothing without High Touch. Technology is only part of the value in the care we offer, and the care is only as good as those who provide it. We pride ourselves on our commitment to providing the best care available to each of our patients.
At NTC you can expect kindness and compassion, and to be treated expeditiously, with patient-oriented fairness. By combining traditional and non-traditional techniques, you will receive a wide variety of treatment options. We will also provide the information you need to comfortably understand what you can realistically expect from each option. After all, we are patients too and we know how you want to be treated. We offer real hope, especially for the many frustrated parents and adult patients who arrive saying, “I’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work!”
